Description:

This is a swap where we will tell each other of the older fashioned foods we like, have tried, and any we dislike. We will also send our partner a recipe for a favorite old school style food.

By older fashioned foods, I mean traditional foods that are caught, gathered, grown, or prepared by hand. Please do not include modern mass-processed foods unless they are based on an older tradition, produced by a heritage food company, etc.

It is okay to write in this swap about raw foods like berries, nuts, and greens as well as about recipes for cooked or baked foods.

Write a letter to your partner listing the following:

  • Favorite traditional foods

  • Oddest traditional food you have tried

  • Any traditional food you refused to try

  • Any traditional foods you would like to try

  • Do you eat special foods for certain holidays or events?

  • Do you enjoy foods traditional to your heritage/ancestry?

  • Cooking memories from your family

Don't forget the recipe. Please look at your partner's profile to note if she has any food preferences or restrictions so that you can send a recipe she might enjoy.

Have fun!

Will have to drop anyone with recent 1s or 3s, unexplained or poorly explained 1s or 3s, or past strings of 1s or 3s.

Please don't sign up if you cannot send or cannot send on time. Cause old style food is serious business!
