this is my poetry zine...

what we are going to make: 1 mini poetry zine (final zine should measure roughly 4.25x2.75�, have a front and back cover and six internal pages.) (for instructions on how to make a eight page zine out of a single sheet of paper you can go to youtube.com and search “how to make a zine� there is a really good video by samproof. the poetry can be original or just poems that you love (be sure follow copyright laws and to credit the author.) while art work is important the most essential part of this is that the zine have poetry!

helpful hints: seeing that this is a personal zine based on your poetry, or poetry that speaks to you, there is no need to wait for partners to be assigned. that’s also why i didn’t give a longer time between the sign up date and the mail date.

how many partners will we send to: 4 (this should be easy because zines are usually photocopied and there for making multiple is easy.) this swap is international friends included, postage shouldn't be to much!

who can play: everyone as long as they are rated 4.5 or higher, newbies with complete profiles. i will ban before assignment of partners.

how to rate: 1 – if you do not receive anything (but come on, we are all going to send our zines because we are a super group of swappers!) 3 – if the zine you receive has nothing to do with poetry. 5 – if you get your zine and it fits the guidelines. heart – if the zine is really amazing, or if the poetry was stellar, or if you really enjoyed it for whatever reason. (i know that this is kind of like, duh! but i just wanted to mention it so that we don’t get people who rate a 3 because they don’t like the poems or and 5 without hearts because they didn’t get a million things off their wish list.)

THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF THIS SWAP IS TOLERANCE AND ACCEPTANCE! please realize that we are all different and our lifestyles and ideas will also be different. poetry is a vital part of self experession and can sometimes be humorus or dark, it can involve taboo subject or make use of harsh language. everyone with a point of view that is not hateful or harmful to others is welcome. because of this you might get a zine that is adult in nature or something you would not normally read.
