Page-By-Page Art Journal: Paisley Zentangle

I've been kicking the idea for a collaborative art journal around in my head for a while and I think I've finally worked through some of the details and am ready to start hosting some swaps! I've got a lot going on in my life right now so the swaps might be few and far between but eventually I would like to hold maybe two swap a month or so - at least something on a regular basis.

I'm thinking about doing all sorts of media, techniques, etc. Things like: zentangles, collages, rubber stamping, painted, drawn, embellished, fabric, embroidered, crayons, markers, themed/non-themed, profile based, sender's choice, etc.

We will always be working on the same sized pieces - 4" by 6".

I plan on obtaining a spiral bound journal that is approximately 5" by 7" in which to mount the pieces I receive. Because we are trading 4" by 6" pieces you could add them to your postcard collection, store them in a photo album, etc. - you wouldn't have to make them into an art journal.

• You will have one partner
• Finished piece should measure 4" by 6"
• Sign or initial the front of your finished piece
• Use something sturdy as your base
• If your design is directional please make it portrait (as opposed to landscape)

DETAILS FOR THIS INSTALLMENT OF THE SERIES:

Make a zentangle that includes one or more paisley shapes in the design. The rest is up to you - make it classic black and white, or make it colored - embellish it if you like - let your imagination run free and be creative!
