Description:

This is the second in a series, the first being, "What I Hate - From A to Z" inspired by Roz Chast's book of that title. I'll continue with the theme as long as people sign up. Feel free to send me your ideas for future "What I ___".

Use either an inexpensive spiral notebook (3"x5" - you can get them at dollar store), or make your own if you like. Make a cover to glue over the dull, original one with the title (you know, the one from the swap name) and your name as the author. As a nice touch, include a brief author bio on the back cover or last page.

On each sheet you'll put the letters (in alphabetical order, please), a picture of the thing you love for that letter, and a brief description of why you love it. The pictures can be hand-drawn, photographs (say, if you love Michael and you've been married to him for 93 years), cut from magazines or printed from the internet.

Requirements for this swap - not too many. If I see that you've flaked on a number of recent swaps (or ever flaked on me) I'll delete you. Also if there seem to be a lot of sends but no ratings, I'll also delete you. If you meet these dis-qualifications and still think you should be in the swap, send me a message and I'll consider you. Newbies welcome.

Regarding rating - feel free to rate a 3 if the swap is sent late without a really good explanation. A 5 is deserved if it's sent on time, includes each letter and has an explanation and picture. We're not rating on artistic ability or presentation. Hearts should be given for given for awesome presentation (hand-made book, great presentation, well done hand drawings). No need to pad your send with extras, although they're nice to get, I feel like folks sometimes stick extra stuff in just so they can get that heart.

I will angel this swap, but give me extra time, and contact your partner to give him/her a chance to send and then honestly rate your non-sender a one.

Love this idea! I'm going to watch for now until I know I have the time to put one together. But if I can't join, hope to see one like this again! :)

What a wonderful idea! Like @newadditions I'm going to watch until I've made the book......now where did I put those scissors?

Hello, I'm new here :) I love this swap but do I get this right .. I should first see if I can make something before the 'end-date' or otherwise I will be deleted?

Adlpated 01/27/2012 #

You need to finish and mail your project by "Date Items must be sent", so if you think you can do that, by all means, sign up! Prospective swappers who have a history of not sending swaps will be deleted BEFORE partners are assigned. You can make it now, but make sure you join the swap before the "last day to sign up/drop" or you can't be included.

If this is too confusing, check out the Help section, or send me a private message.
