Hippy, Hippie, Tye Dye Postcard Swap

I just wanted to add that the postcards don't have to be tye dye. they can be of hippies or psychedelic or psychedelic rockers...

Was the term "hippie" just a label the media used for what was happening that they didn't really understand? Did they ever understand it, or just exploit it? And how about all the stuff that is happening more recently that they don't understand, and often try to ignore? Is Woodstock more famous than the Burning Man Festival? What about the Battle of Seattle, or the anticipation of 2012? Just scratch the surface and you will find "hippies in disguise" lurking everywhere. I hope participants in this swap say what preferences they have, so I can decide among the many, many postcards that could be a fit for this swap. Do you like the musical giants associated with the hippies such as Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Grateful Dead, Beatles or psychedelia in general? How about that funny herb some hippies were so fond of? Skinny dipping, Mr. Natural, Eastern Religions, anarchy, wacky humor and general rebellion?
