June 3 M Journal Swap

SWAP BEGINS: June 1
OFFICIALLY ENDS: June 30

Three M’s Swap – A Month of My Memorabilia

It appears that the 3M Swap is a favorite among this group, so thought I’d get a mid-year one going. The idea of this swap, for those that have never joined this swap, is to share pieces of your life with someone else… and to experience someone else’s in return on a day-to-day basis for an entire month.

If you join this swap, you can start to work on and get that 30 Day Journal ready for the swap.

1) You will need a Journal – No smaller than a 5 x 7 and it must have enough pages in it to cover the 30 days of June. Please make sure you also include a page or two of an introduction about yourself.

2) The Journal Type is up to the sender, I use an Altered Composition Notebook, they are perfect for this type of swap, not to big not to small. Please make sure to alter the cover of your Journal, altering design is senders choice.

3) You will then, date the rest of the pages from June 1st through June 30th anyway you’d like. You will then attach an article of memorabilia to EACH page for that each day.

For the purpose of this journal, memorabilia is a keepsake of an event or a piece of ephemera from a day in your life. You’ll collect these items each day for a month and sharing them with our assigned partner along with a description of how we came across the item, or why you chose that item for the day.

4) For each day, after you’ve attached your memorabilia, be sure to cover that page anyway you’d like, don’t just attach a receipt from the grocery store, write “Went shopping,” on the page and consider it done, be creative, the entire page should be used up.

SWAP ENDS: June 30th - you have until July 15th to mail your Journal Out.

Participants are expected to mail on time ! This is a MONTH long swap, and a very hard Journal to keep up with – so if you join please be committed on getting through the entire month of June.

I had to extend the send date by two-weeks normally it’s a week after it ends, but I will be gone the first weekend of July, and also it is a Holiday Week that first week of July for U.S. Swappers.

If you have any questions, concerns, or comments about this swap, please post your message here below or you may also email me at RainyC105@aol.com I am always happy to help or answer questions !

Here's a question...thoughts on using a previously received 3M journal? (Adding our pages into one that we were previously sent so there isn't a journal filled 1/3 of the way or whatnot).

I personally don't see an issue.. (may cost you a bit more to mail, especially if you are mailing out of country, it gets heavier)..I think as long as your JUNE portion is in there.. what the heck.. the person gets a bigger Journal to look at...

Precisely!

That souinds like a pretty good idea. To take that idea a little further, I could collect double each day and finish the journal that I receive with my own month of memorbilia. hummmmmmm

I would love to join, maybe the next one.
