Magazine Collage ATC

Hi Dawny, no, for this swap it's just magazine images. There are other swaps that you can do with the other techniques: I love doing them as well. I currently have an altered playing card swap running, and an altered jigsaw piece ATC swap, where you could use those techniques. Hope you'll consider joining one of those?

The card that you've shown above lookes just like a miniature soulcollage card. It does flow nicely, and fit together well, it's a beautiful card! Look up soulcollage and you'll find a lot of information there!

Hi, I am very excited about this swap. My friends call call me the collage queen. I can't wait to start. The only thing that boggles me down on my swaps is trying to make almost everything fit my partner's profile. It takes so long, looking for those images, then trying to put them together. I am not complaining though, cause I have my mind off of myself when I am doing it. I have been disabled since 2001 and it feels good to actually serve others.

I don't need my ATC to fit my profile. I like to see their own creative view!

Susi, thank you so much for your compliment! I do love doing them although sometimes I can sit for hours looking for the right bits! I like them to 'flow' and not just look like random bits stuck on any old how!

Angie - don't worry about fitting them to your partner's profile. That's not what this swap is about. It's about you having fun and seeing what strange combinations you can come up with that look totally 'right'! I've made mine already and I doubt if they'd fit anyone's profile!

angiewilliams - I agree it is nice to make things specific to your partners taste because you want them to love it. Obviously your own stle will show through because it's your talent creating these tiny works of art.

This is one of my favorite ways to do collage. Just take a couple of magazines and start cutting then let the images tell me where to put them. I have already made 6. They are all different since I don't have multiple images. I hope it is ok for me to do them the way I like. I am just so happy to have this swap done.... But now I will probably want to do more.

Yes Beth, that's the way to do them! Mine are all different too.

I am sorry I have to drop this swap before it even starts. I would love to participate, but my homelife has become a nightmarish soap opera. My grandson is missing. He is 21 and from Mt. Gilead N.C. My hubby has less than 6 months to live. You can read it on my profile. Sorry I have to drop out.
