Breaking Bread- a cooking swap

As the holidays come closer many of think of our families and celebrations that include food. Every year my mother gathers some of her dearest female friends and female members of the family young and old and has a day of backing. Everyone brings a extra tin or two, a favorite recipe and the baking begins. It is a magical time of stories and sweet smells and smiles. Some times a few tears will fall but it is a time of the positive power of tradition. I will be far away from family when this happens but the need to bake is strong this time of year and I will start soon for it warms my heart and mind. I invite you to swap with me and hopefully others your favorite holiday recipe that you have to bake. It can be of a religious nature or simply a simple cookie recipe. Please also send a little note that tells about the recipe and why it is special to you or the holidays. Don’t forget to give your partner where the recipe came from. No fancy packaging or goodies to add unless you want. Just a good recipe and a heartfelt note.The recipe is up to the sender but if you have allergies or food restrictions you may want to post below to let your partner know.
