This Dotee Doll swap is ment for people who would like to go above and beyond the basic cotton/felt Dotee dolls. It is for participants who want to create AN EXQUISITE Dotee Doll. You will do research on the the period of Marie Antoinette and search for lavish fabrics that meet the style of the period (Thrift stores can have items with rich fabrics-and since you only need a small amount even buying at a fabric store should be inexpensive)! It may also incorperate ribbons, luxurious trims, feathers, pearls, rhinestones, and even little miniatures like fans etc. Barbie miniatures would be the right size here! Don't forget her extravagant hairstyle! You do not have to be a Artist--in fact a novice can make one--but the person signing up must be committed to creating a ART doll and not just a crafty type. You will have ONE partner and you will create a treasure for her to love! You should have a rating of 4.8 or more. I will be checking the Profiles before assigning partners. This is for people who are SERIOUS about their art and their commitments to their partners! Newbees with a completed profile may join if the Message me and discuss why they would like to be in the swap, and their commitment to seeing it through. Please don't do weird things like beheaded dolls-there is a place for edgie art but this isn't ment for that kind of expression! We want to do beautiful dolls---FIT FOR A QUEEN!!!! As a doll is a small item International is okay. There is a long sign up time to help people to hunt out treasures to make their doll with. There are links on other Dotee dolls swaps for basic instructions to making a doll. Your doll should basically keep the form (little felt embroidered face etc), but allowances are made for Artists to "do their thing". I am REALLY excited to host this and I hope lots of lovely ladies will want to sign up! | |
