Description:

This is the perfect swap for those who like to create sacred spaces in their home and their lives. These might be altars, meditation nooks, shelves of knick-knacks that make you happy...whatever you create to bring the sacred into daily life.

For this swap, you will need to gather 3-5 new or VERY gently used items that you believe will add to your partners sacred space. These could include statuary/figurines, images/pictures, incense, bells, crystals or other natural objects, singing bowls, candles, whatever....Total value should be about $20-30.

Be creative and think outside of the box on this one- this will be especially fun for swappers from eclectic spiritual backgrounds (Wiccans, Pagans and Unitarians come to mind) but it's open to everyone.

Anyone with a history of no-show trades will be banned....if you have a rating below a 4.0, contact me to determine your eligibility.

I would like to get no reliegeous items, Candles are great for me, or picture frames.

Hello. I love this swap concept. I have several small sacred spaces in nooks of my homes. I follow buddhist and natural paths and really look forward to the treasures I will be receiving.

I am also wondering in case I get Jen - how you define religious? Spirituality, sacred spaces, religion are all easily transposed in modern society. I mean, to me rocks are a religious item. So, can you be more specific. Thanks so much.

I think this is an awesome idea and a way to add special meaning to our sacred spaces. For me, my space is an area that holds meaning for my celtic and Romani heritage and my connection to Dragons - my totem and power animal.

i love to build altars! Now I am teaching my children about sacred space and how it elps us. We have buddhist and indian images up. My power animal is the wolf. we focus on the beauty of nature. My favorite piece I have so far is a bell that was hand cast for me by a dear friend.

I'll have to think about what items could fit into my idea of sacred space, but I didn't want to miss the deadline for signup! I'll try to get a list up soon. :) but I might not be able to get access to the net again before Monday.

non-religious items. i like to create my own things with clay sometimes. i love home made soap & candles, stones, oils, herbs, i identify as pagan and buddhist.. so anything that would fit into that.

For some reason, i cannot see who my swap partner is! ANyone else having the same problem.

I am having the same problem (not able to see my swap partner).

Looking at the comments of the persons who have signed up for this swap, I think I would be most comfortable if whomever is my partner will assemble for me something that would be a sacred space in her (his perhaps?) own home. My spiritual sense is rather eclectic (I draw inspiration from many sources), and I think I would be delighted with a package put together by my spoiler. It will be a chance to embrace the unexpected and to find the connection with something I wouldn't necessarily think to ask for. :)
