I wanted to do a journal swap, and wasn't able to find anything current that interested me, so I thought I would create a swap with ideas from several places plus my own. First, buy a composition book....standard, 80 pages. Don't worry about the cover because you are going to alter it. You will be assigned one partner, U.S. only due to shipping costs. 4.95 or better rating, sorry, no newbies! Must have completed at least 15 type 3 swaps and no 1's or 3's in the last 6 months. Well filled out profiles a must. When you are assigned your partner, the fun begins. Look at your partner's profile and get to know them a bit. You are creating a journal that is about you, but fun for them to look at....if they hate goth, please don't decorate the cover of your journal with a goth theme. What goes into this journal? This isn't a typical "diary" style. Fill it with a wide variety of fun things. Pictures, song lyrics, poetry, doodles, lists of favorites, magazine clippings...Tell your partner about yourself as well. What are your hopes, fears, passions? Include some flat surprises for your partner...sticker sheets, bookmarks, tea bags (sealed). Tape an envelope in to place your item in, but don't just tape in a bunch of envelopes with a sticker sheet in each one and count those as entries. Include as many entries as possible....it would thrill your partner to receive a completely filled book I am sure, but do at least 50 entries to make it fun and worthwhile. Don't disappoint your partner! Think how you would feel if you got a journal with minimal effort, or got flaked on! Don't sign up if you aren't going to give this your best effort. Each entry should be at least one page....no slapping a picture and moving on, tell your partner about it and why you chose it.

It is a comp book, but I decided it will look better with a new one. lol.

I just love this idea for a swap, you've done good picking it. I want to join but am nervous that I won't have 50 things to say or ideas. LOLOL I'm artistic just not that creative. It's a great swap.

thank you. If you think of all the different possibilities...poems, quotes, song lyrics, pictures, etc...as well as gluing in the goodies, 50 should be filled before you know it, and you'll have a little over a month and a half to get it done.

I'm sending mine with a tracking number!!! If I could I would use 10 tracking numbers haha, because if it got lost in the mail I would be devastated!
