OK, kids, this is your opportunity to create one of those 1-page-magically-becomes-8-pages minizines! (I will set up a clickylink below that shows you how to do this, in case you need to look at it!) You are welcome to work with or without the supervision/ assistance/ cooperation of your adult, but you might want to check and make sure that they help you with the basics (just to make them feel a little bit important, you understand :) You are welcome to co-create with another kid/tween/teen. Open to ages zero to 18, with a ZMACS member helping you, at least with the basics. Have fun! My kids will have to stay up all night to "angel" any missed swap, so make sure that yours is sent :)

My youngest son made a mini-comic last summer (after attending a workshop that got him all stoked up to make more) - could we send that or would he need to create a new one?

I guess if he didn't feel like making another one, I wouldn't feel concerned about him sending what he had previously made. Any other thoughts out there?

I'll ask him if he's interested in making another - maybe if he does, we can send both! I know for sure he'd love to see work that other kids have done. We made them after a "kids read comics" mini-con workshop, and he gave some away to some adults who had booths, but hasn't seen much created by kids.

Here's a question that I hadn't asked ... would it be more interesting for the kids to send to more than one person (since it is pretty easy to copy a minizine)?

I would be up for more than one copy. My daughter has lost interest in doing it as she thinks a zine from a boy won't be fun LOL. She is into dolls, fairies etc. The more partners, the more chance of getting a girlie one back.

My daughter will participate for sure -- and she always tries to appeal to boys and girls :)

So, maybe 2 or 3 partners, folks? Thoughts?
