Description:

This swap is for experienced crocheter's only. And USA only due to time and postage.

This will be an on-going swap. If there is enough interest, I will create a group so we can track our squares

You will send your partners the starting row of a traditional granny square. It's called a "granny's daughter". Yarn color is sender's choice, as long as it is 100% acrylic worsted weight yarn.

Pin a tag to Round 1 of your square with the following on one side: Your Name (swap-bot name) Your Address City, State, Zip

Any special instructions you have can be added here too.

And on the back, have instructions to have them add their name and swap-bot ID on the other side (see picture above. I used a business card template in the print shop on my computer)

Send 2 granny's daughters to each of your partners (You will need a total of 4 granny's daughters)

When the next round is posted you will:

IF YOU PARTICIPATED IN A PREVIOUS ROUND:

Before and after you add your row, measure the square. Add a row to the granny squares you got from your partners in the previous round. Yarn is 100% acrylic worsted weight yarn.

Send two of the squares to each of your 2 new partners. Leave the tag pinned to the center so the square can eventually find its way home in a later swap. If you get a same partner as previous round, you can send them a square they haven't added to OR another of your granny's daughters. (Saving the square for the next round)

Everyone crochets differently, so some squares might come home before others. Just remember that the goal is 7 inch squares.

Any questions, please send me a message. Rating requirement for 4.8 and up. With no recent 1's or 3's. Newbies welcome with a WELL filled out and detailed profile.

NOTE: I understand that sometimes things in our life happens. If you can no longer continue, PLEASE let me know. I will make arrangements for you to send the squares to me so they can continue on.

Also ~ I live in "Boonyville" and sometimes our internet connection isn't very good. This is especially true when it rains & in the winter months. So please be patient, partners will get assigned and if needed I will extend the send date.

Are we all using different size hooks? I'm using a "G".

@twobluecrows - everyone crochets differently. I crochet quite tight, so I find that I have to use a "I" or even "J" hook to be about the same as what I have received in the past.

Thanks, good to know.

I found a pattern for making the daughters that I found so quick and easy I have to share:

CH 3, DC 2 in 3rd ch from hook, CH 2,(DC 3,CH 2), repeat twice, slip st into top of first DC and knot off.

I'm in love with making these now! lol

Oops! All the remaining DCs go into that 3rd CH from the hook ,too.

Oh, and I took one apart and the yarn was just shy of 2 yards
