Mail art combo - Steampunk

Time to switch things up around here a bit! How about a Mail Art combo swap?

Here's what you have to do:

• Decorate an envelope in the swap's theme, use a combination of techniques (stamping, colouring/doodling, painting, tape/stickers, collage, etc) and really put some thought and creativity into it (don't just slap a sticker on it and call it done please.). Try to cover a good portion of the envelope whether it's the front or the back or a combination (try for at least 40%). If gluing things on make sure it's on there good - you don't want anything coming off on it's journey!

• Create a matching piece of art to include inside the envelope. Can be an ATC, Inchies (x3), Twinchies (x2), a decorated tag, zine, etc. Whatever you create just make sure it meets the swap's theme and that it kinda "matches" the envelope it came in. (example: theme could be Steampunk, your envie is decorated in steampunk style fashion, and you include a steampunk fashion set of 3 inchies inside)

(When I think of steampunk I think: fall/earthtone colours, leather and lace, gears and time pieces, metal elements, vintage feel/look, old fashion travel like hot air baloons and the first airplanes, as well as guns, goggles, skeleton keys/locks, and more. For ideas search "steampunk art" or a variation of that on Pinterest.)
