This is for seamstresses in our group....It will be a bit more involved and expensive than our usual swaps so please do not join unless you can follow through....Instead of a Ziplock ...we will make a handmade bag (could be any type of bag... some ideas would be ...draw string, zip pouch, clutch.... just approximately the size of at least a sandwich baggie or bigger...) In the bag... one FQ (fat quarter of fabric) and 4 other sewing theme items (Value of $10) One partner Sender's choice IDEAS.... thread, needles, ric rac, elastic, pins, tracing pencil/marker, snaps, buttons, zipper, interfacing, iron on patch, thimble, seam ripper, pin cushion, something small sewn by you

FQ = fat quarter

A piece of cotton measuring 18" x 22" inches is what is generally referred to by the term Fat Quarter.

I'm watching at the moment, but I have a couple questions:

Can the bag he hand made but not sewn, e.g. crocheted or knitted?
Or, alternatively, if, say, I received a very lovely handmade sewn bag in a recent TiaZ Metabaggie swap, could I use that one?
