TCH: Survival Lady - emergency bag for the purse

Welcome to a new swap that I may host monthly if there is an interest. I haven't seen a swap quite like this one, so I'm not quite sure how it will go over.

This swap is all about survival: surviving a power outage or car trouble or the end of the world as we know it. No, we won't be making an underground bunker or stockpiling. This is on a smaller level.

Each month we will have a theme. May's theme is "Power Outage". Yesterday our power went out for several hours and I wish I would have been more prepared. "Where is that flash light?" I was asking. This swap will be to help motivate us to be more prepared for things. In the world we live in, you never know...

Each swap will also be different. Some you will simply write a letter or send a picture of how you prepared for the theme. Other swaps you will send an item that you made or bought. We will also be making "Survival Lady" cards. They will be full of tips, encouragement, Bible verses, prayers...

This month our theme is emergency bag for the purse. You will take a make up bag and place in it items that you believe you would need in case of an emergency. Items will be completely up to you. Whatever you feel you would need in the case of an emergency. You will be the one carrying it in your purse. You will send a picture and a letter about the items you included in your emergency bag. Also we will be sending our partner an item for their bag. This is sender's choice.

You will also make a little Survival Lady card or note for your partner to put in her bag. Something small for her to carry in the bag. Place it in a tiny envelope & write "Survival Lady - Open in case of emergency". On the card or in the note write some words of encouragement - Bible verse, song lyrics, poem, a note...

What to send:

• 1 picture of your Survival Lady emergency bag for your purse.

• 1 letter about what you included in your bag.

• 1 item for your partner to include in her emergency bag.

• 1 Survival Lady card or note placed in a tiny envelope.
