Any Fiction Genre you think your partner will enjoy. Maybe we will be introduced to a new favorite! is this senders choice or it must be something according to your partners profile?

Its senders choice, but read your partners profile so as not to send anything that is specifically on their dislikes list, so for example if they say, "murder mysteries really disturb me", then pick a different genre than that of murder mysteries to send them. Otherwise its senders choice as to what exact book you pick to send.

Just thought I'd check if it is OK to send a good quality 2nd hand book (no marks, tears, creases etc), or should it be a new store bought one? Thank you.

That's fine, from your own home library is also fine, no need to buy specifically for the swap.
