Profile Based Sharpie Mug

Hi there! I have decided to host my first swap here on swapbot, so here it goes!

For this swap you will be decorating a mug with Sharpie paint markers according to your partner's interests. Once your partner has been assigned to you, take a few moments to thoroughly peruse their profile and decide on something that they've said that they like. Next you will need a mug. This can be any kind of porcelain/ceramic mug that is in good shape. You can use a plain one that you have at home, pick one up at the second-hand store, or purchase a new one if you choose. As long as the mug is in good shape you can use it for this swap. You will also need some Sharpie paint markers. These MUST BE OIL-BASED. The regular Sharpie markers are water-based and WILL NOT WORK for this swap. When you are ready to make the mug, clean the surface with rubbing alcohol first before drawing your design. Then let creativity take hold as you decorate your mug! You can use words or images that relate to your partner's interests. If you need inspiration you and google "sharpie mugs" or search it on Pinterest for plenty of ideas!

HOW TO: First clean the surface of the mug with alcohol. Then add your design. After you finish your drawing, place your mug in a cold oven and set the temperature for 450 degrees F. After the oven has reached its temp, allow the mug to bake for 30 minutes. When the time is up, turn off the oven and KEEP THE MUG IN THE OVEN. This is an important part of the process. Leave the mug in the oven until it is completely cool. And, voila! You're done!

THESE MUGS ARE HAND WASH ONLY GUYS. I don't want anyone to put it in the dishwasher and then get mad at their partner because the design came off. Hand wash only with a soft sponge!

You must have a rating of 4.95 to participate in this swap with no recent/unexplained 1's or 3's. I will be checking. I will angel (but I shouldn't have to, right guys?!) for this swap after the flaker has been contacted and given a proper rating.
