Crazy Fun 9-Patch

In this swap we are going to make crazy scrappy 9-patch blocks. The block is super fun and modern, perfect for beginning quilters and experts!

There is a video tutorial at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AkxLJhm2wPI

The specifics:

Start with 11- inch squares of fabric, this should leave you enough wiggle room to trim your block to 9-inches to send. Remember, it is better to have the block come out a little too big, than too small.

You will be making 2 sets of these 3-blocks-a-set. You will have 2 partners. You send each partner 1 block from each set and keep one block of each set for yourself. REPEATING TO BE CLEAR: Make two sets of three blocks. Send each partner 1 9-inch block of each set, 2 blocks total.

No holiday or religious fabric! Otherwise, fabrics are SENDER'S CHOICE!

No single surround centers. In other words - when finished each block should contain 3 pieces of each fabric. If you have any questions feel free to ask!

If you receive 2 crazy nine patch quilt blocks from your partner you must rate a 5.

You must have a 4.98 rating to join. No unexplained 3's or unresolved 1's. Newbies are allowed with filled out profiles.

I will cover flakers, but you will need to give the flaker a 1 rating.

Note: I have taken this swap over, as I would hate to see it end! I would like to finish my quilt. :)

By "no single surrounds" you mean this, one color is surrounded by fours--

this is done right, the center diagonal has one color and the others are in threes:

Yes. If you follow the tutorial I have linked to and lay out the fabric just as they said, you should get three squares a set with three wonky squares of each fabric. :)
