SWL ~ Easy decorated paper booklet

This is a super easy and fun idea. For those who love the handmade journal swaps, or for those who have never participated because you've been too afraid or because it can be expensive to ship; this is a great alternative and really simple to do!

There are no rights & wrongs! As long as your booklet meets the size/shape requirements you can decorate it HOWEVER you want.

Here's what to do...

1- Fold an A4 piece of paper in half. Fold it in half again, to make it like a book.

2 The paper you make your booklet out of is your choice and can be anything! A page from a magazine, card stock, plain white paper, a calendar page, scrapbook paper, etc. Please make sure it is approx. the same size as A4.

3 When you've made the booklet by folding the A4 paper, you should have a mini book that has a front cover, two pages inside, and a back cover. You can choose whether to stick the bottoms together, split them to make more pages or use them as secret pockets.

4 Next, decorate all the pages! Really do whatever you want! Get out the collage supplies, stamps, ink, paint, glue, washi tape, ribbon, stickers, stick in things like journal cards, interesting quotes, washi tape, sticky notes; You could write, draw, paint; or keep it simple. Perhaps you'd like to theme it by a favourite colour or animal? Or add pockets, mini envelopes? Or keep it simple!

5 Write a quick note for your partner about the swap (or write on the book itself) and send off! Super simple!

Easy and fun! This little book is just ONE piece of paper, and ANYONE can fold one piece of paper! Plus it is light to post even international.

You're not rating your partner on their artistic ability, whether you like the book and what the pages are decorated like. If you receive a paper book with a front and back page & 2 pages inside, that are decorated somehow, that's the swap done. :)
