Description:

This swap is based on a recent forum request...

Make 2 different, flat Paper Birds for 1 partner. These birds should be approximately 4" X 6" or (102mm X 152mm). Size is only a guideline to keep swapping equitable. Birds should be flat or able to be mailed flat; wings and tail can fold out when hung. Birds should not both be alike. All Paper Birds must include some sort of string or ribbon for hanging.

These Birds can be completed using any medium and/or technique alone or in combination for a mixed media effect. Some mediums are decorative papers, paint and inks, pencils and pens, etc...Some techniques are collage, painting, inking, drawing, stamping, stenciling, etc...Please keep in mind that Birds should remain as flat as possible for easy/cost effective mailing; so no large dimensional embellishments.

Refer to swap photo for example and inspiration. Pinterest has many bird outlines that can be printed and traced on cardstock to get started.

This swap is International and Birds are sender's choice. For more personalized Birds, please check partner profile for favorite colors or style....but not required as it's senders choice. Aim to make your partner happy with work you'd want to receive yourself. If item was received and met swap requirements, please rate a 5; Hearts are optional and can be awarded for a personalized piece, extra special work, etc...

Please note: mail overseas routinely takes 2-4 weeks. Communication with your partner is important.

AEK7300 will angel if needed. Anyone who flakes on this swap will be removed from inclusion in future swaps.

Ok, swap watchers... what's holding you back? Don't be intimidated by the swap photo; those are exceptional paper birds, for sure! But yours can be simple... one single shape with no moving parts. There are many bird templates/outlines on Pinterest or Google that you can use to trace. Then it's just coloring and decorating.

I do plan to join but want to wait 'til I clear my dash a bit. I always seem to be at or pushing 20!

Oh, yay, Kristy! I want to make these so badly, but it's no fun making them for myself. I'm glad you're participating.
