It is time for our first Advent Swap of the group:

"APRIL ADVENT SWAP"

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?

We will be sending 7 small or tiny wrapped hand-crafted gifts to our Swap Partner. Try to keep them small so the postage will be reasonable. But if you want to send something large and heavy go for it. (wink). Match these 7 gifts to a Week; Day; Event that is celebrated in April. I have posted examples in our group forum that will help give you an idea. However you can do an internet search for April Calendar and get your own ideas. When you wrap the gift enclose in the package; bag etc. the event of April that inspired this gift.

Option 1:

You Can Hand-Craft All Seven Gifts Yourself

Option 2:

You Can Hand-craft 5 of the Gifts yourself and purchase or re-gift 2 quality hand-crafted gifts from another crafter, but YOU MUST give the other crafters credit.

You can buy from places such as Etsy; Swap-Bot; Craft Fairs etc., but NOT from Garage Sales or Thrift Stores) Re-gifting is allowed as sometimes we get something in Swaps that is absolutely awesome, but not what we collect.

ABSOLUTELY NO STORE BOUGHT MASS MANUFACTURED GIFTS. No old looking gifts unless they are made to look that way and no gifts with odors. They must look brand new or you can not re-gift them.

• We will use the different Days; Weeks; and Month long April Celebrations to inspire us for the Swap. (See examples in our group forum.) EXAMPLE: Arbor Day: Do a tree in your partner's chosen style and technique using their Pinterest Board "Swaps To Receive." Be versatile and pin different mediums in your Pinterest Board.

• We will look at our Swap partner's Pinterest Board to match what type of Art & Crafts they want to receive with the April Themes and celebrations.

• We will use what skills we have to make something our Swap Partners will be happy with. (Only do something different if you know you can pull it off and make it look good.)

• Everyone please understand that the examples we pinned in Pinterest are just that. They are examples of the type of artwork we like. Not all of this work can be duplicated due to copyright law, but we can create something similar if we know what you like. If you like mixed media pin it; if you like collage, pin it; If you like quilting pin it; if you like crochet pin it; folk art pin it; etc.

If you do not pin it, we will have no idea what you like.

• ALL Gifts should be wrapped or bagged. Some people sew small reusable bags. I do not machine sew, therefore I have to be creative in a different way. My last swap partner hand sewed reusable drawstring bags from fabric to put my gifts in. (They can be disposable.)
