pressed plants/flowers

Did you know I'm a grass-lover? Neither did I, untill I opened my flowerpress today, and found out there was only grassseeds and some leaves inside. I'll have to pick new nice flowers and press them for this swap!

i use phone books to press my flowers. The thin tissue like pages seem to allow for the right amount of air while applying the proper amount of weight. i collect flowers when in bloom, spread out on phone book pages & then forget about them until i have another project. You want to make sure the flowers are laid flat. For some flowers this means pressing only the petals. Once they're dry & pressed, they last forever. I use a glue stick or small amount of Elmer's glue to stick flowers to a surface. Then I seal with modge podge. I hope this helps any that haven't done this before.

To be honest: I'm rather new to this myself. A challenge for me too :-)
