Oh pooh, I would have readlly loved to be in this swap as I celeabrate Yule, but I'm a newbie. Maybe next year.

My profile is pretty thorough, but to stress, I don't like gold and adore silver. We've had to start over with holiday decorations so anything in that area would be great appreciated and gushed over. LOL I am a crafter and love receiving handmade and cleverly recycled items. Other ideas - grape vine wreath, ornaments, bells, faeries...

Everything in the list below is great. Please look in my profile too - I really love some great fruit tea or chocolate too :)

My profile addresses some of the things I like, but I'll speak specifically to my family's Yule traditions and decorations. We are a family of three, with a son who turned one year old in September. We want to build the foundation to raise him in a loving, celebratory pagan environment, so anything that is family-geared would be loved. (As new parents, we could use some guidance for how you make Yule a family event!) We put up a tree each year (artificial--his name is Bendy the Tree) and each year, we add ornaments to it that reflect our faith, our love of nature, and the experiences we want to memorialize from that year. (The year we discovered I was pregnant, for instance, we added a silver piggy bank ornament to the tree to symbolize not only the baby-to-be but how our hopes were invested in that child joining our family.)

In terms of color, we decorate for Yule in rich blues and whites, silvers and golds. We love evergreens and sun images, symbols of peace and love, stags in the snow, stars and pentacles, winter animals and scenes.

We do not really care for Santa Claus items, though he seems a nice enough guy. :) We also do our best to avoid using animal products--leather, feather, fur, bone, shell, pearl, and even wool and silk and egg or dairy items we'd prefer not to receive.

Big hearts from us would be for things that we can use with our son, maybe a book about the Solstice or about the season of Winter, a meaningful ornament we can add to our tree's magick, something decorative for our home, something handmade and heartfelt.

I just updated my profile, complete with a list of current WISHES. It is pretty thourough otherwise.
I am starting over with a new family-my husband...so we are slowly starting to get the traditions down. My son has the ones I grew up with with my parents-santa, opening gifts, holiday meal-typical stuff. I want something different. The past couple years I have chosen not to celebrate AT ALL-life was just too painful. I think I may change that this year. I love to decorate a tree-typical or untypical. I love to look at holiday lights, I love the feeling you get when people are being nice to each other, and you make them smile. I ABHOR the way people are rushed, stressed and money driven. I love the turning of the seasons, and time for renewal. So I have no idea how(or what) we will be celebrating this year. But I am looking forward to it.

As for me, I would love anything that sticks with what I like and do not like on my profile. NO JEWELRY unless it is hand made. no spiral note books. Ugh. I love crystals and gemstones. I love anything handmade. Craft supplies are appreciate (yarn mostly, or anything from stampin up-palmarosa.stampinup.net) I would love more Buddha or Lakshmi items. I would love love love a figure of the Goddess Lakshmi. For real.

I love stars, black cats, and rocks and crystals. I also love unusual fabric pieces that I can use for altar cloths, candles and anything to do with Bast, Horus and Quan Yin or Medusa.

I'm not picky, pretty much anything you want to send will make me happy. :-)

I have a long list of things I would love to receive on my profile. So check it for ideas. I love turtles and Eeyore so things in those themes will always earn you a heart. Also hairstix will earn you hearts as I can never have enough sets of them. But anything on my profile would be loved :)

Hi. Somehow I got into my head that you have to send 10 homemade items -- must've been another swap! Anyway, my family loves beeswax or soy scented candles, Yule themed linens, handmade tree-trimming items, home-made drink mixes, songbooks and pagan-themed holiday music, firestarters . . . we celebrate local cultures and love to receive gifts of the land where you live. We want to try to start doing Befana stockings, too!

There is so much I love about this holiday, the lights, the scents, colors...

I love red & white combinations, the smells of fresh pine & warm vanilla cookies, rustic country decor, wreaths, cranberry garlands, clean burning candles, snowflakes, journals, warm blankets, truffles, sock animals, cocoa, cinnamon sticks, pine cones, celtic holiday music, bird feeders, black cats or fat cats, ferrets, and I love handmade items...

I'm very open minded. :)

I just joined Swap-bot.com and would like to join in the Yule/Solstice swaps. Unfortunately, I have no rating sine I just joined and many of the swaps I have been looking at require a rating. How do I build it?

I have been Pagan, Kemetic specifically, for over 10 years now :) I saw a story in our local paper about swapping sites...what a great idea!

I like greenman and stag images. I love salt and pepper shakers, so any winter themed ones would be great. Any sun images would be nice too. Aprons and table linens

This is a somewhat new idea to me, I would like anything that would explain the solstice and the pagan ideas, beliefs and the how tos of Yule, I too am trying to utilize the good things from my pseudo christian upbringing and focus on the spirit of the holiday time. I like any natural items, handmade, or animal themed ornaments, garlands, etc. Nothing really glitzy. anything listed in the description is nice, although scents for me need to be food related and not florals.

I would love any of the above. :) also my profile is pretty well filled out, so you can go from there. and if you're not sure about something - feel free to ask me. :) i would love love love pagan-related things IF that's possible - if not, no problem. :) i mainly relate to ancient irish / celtic there, but am interested in other as well. Currently I'm mainly exploring everything on Lugh and Aine for example. :)

I love anything handmade and unique or craft themed. right now especially ornaments or things to decorate the house with. Lots of info/ideas in my profile, but really I'm generally not picky and appreciate any thought out gift. Thanks!
