Description:

The September 2015 Fandom in a Bag swap is Doctor Who.

Step 1: Please list in the comments your favorite characters, doctors, baddies, companions, shows, episodes, moments, or any other preference you may have.

Step 2: After partners are assigned, check to see what your partner likes. You can follow-up with a message if you need to know more. Then scrounge up, buy, and/or create items that fit in a bag. Your bag must contain at least 7 different items although more is certainly encouraged (PLEASE try to make it look full).

Some ideas of themed items: stickers, ATCs, postcards, toys/action figures, comics, note cards, pins/buttons, magnets, jewelry, trading cards, charms, ornaments, books, bookmarks, address labels, postcards, plushies/stuffies, promo stills/autograph cards, fainfic, zines, etc.

More specific ideas: time travel survival kit, mini TARDIS, prop replicas, homemade guide to the Whoverse, Gallifreyan calendar, 50th anniversary swag, scarf or bowtie, etc.

Be sure to check your partner's profile so you don't send anything he or she might be allergic to.

Step 3: Put the items in a ziplock-type bag. Size: 1 gallon (measures AT LEAST 10 inches by 11 inches or 28cm by 26.5 cm). You can decorate the bag or incorporate the bag into something (mount it or sew something around it). If you want to make or buy a bag instead of using a ziplock plastic one, that's fine as well, but it should be at least a gallon in size. All items you gather or create should fit into the bag (if a couple are too big, that's fine).

Assemble your bags during the month of September and please send by the deadline (September 30).

Group rating rules apply. NO FLAKING ALLOWED! Flakers will be parked in front of a weeping angel.

WOOHOO!!!! OK - here's some input on what I love about Doctor Who. 10 is MY doctor - but I love 9 and 11 as well. Haven't made it to 12 yet but I LOVE Peter Capaldi so I'm sure I will love him. I love the Adipose fat babies and weeping angels. Allonsy is my favorite saying. I really love the Christmas episodes.

Vincent and the Doctor is one of my favorite episodes. I love all the companions - Martha is probably my least favorite. I like her but I don't love her. I really loved Donna.

You really cannot go wrong with me and Doctor Who - only thing to NOT send it anything that can melt - it's still too hot here for that and I don't want to chance it even into September.

YEEEESSSS!!

Doctors: I love me some Doctor 10 and my daughter calls Doctor 11 her "boo" (that makes them officially married I think, sorry River), so anything of those two cuties would be awesome.

Companions: Donna is my favorite sidekick, followed by Rory, Rose and Clara. Poor poor Martha, I couldn't stand her character :(.

Friendlies: I love the Ood, K9, "Sweet Papa Crimbo" Santa Claus (I loooved that Christmas episode), and Madame Vastra.

Monsters: Weeping Angels, the Silence, and Missy.

I love all episodes with the above characters in them. The one episode that still hurts my (and millions of others) heart to this day is the episode where Dr 10 dies……"I don't want to go"…..cried like a baybay

We have a good bit of Doctor Who stuff, so things we don't need more of include totes/bags, a fez, jewelry, candy/food, stickers, key rings or fobs, fat baby. I'll try to be more specific in my wants section, but don't let that scare you…just trying to be helpful :)

Things we would love include a pouch, peg people, hoopla, mug rug, paper craft scene, clay figures, sonic screwdriver, handmade clay/mache/fabric character doll (any except doctors), any sort of fabric art, Teesha Moore patch (no tardis or fez, etc…something less common please, like a scene you like or a smaller character), paper pieced fabric blocks (unfinished edges would be awesome so I could turn them into something later), embroidery, magnets, etc. On my profile I have a link to my Pinterest where you can find a "(make it) Dr Who" folder for a few ideas…some of them I have gotten already (check comments) or don't need more of (on my list above).

I absolutely looooove quality crafted items, they feel more original, so feel free to craft away!

I love 10 and I am almost through all of the 11 episodes! Amy, Rory, and River are my favorites! My favorite episode is Vincent and the Doctor (OMG the feels). The quote about libraries is simply the best ever!

I am totally fine with anything. You really cannot go wrong! :) I am a fan of lanyards, pins, earrings, socks, well anything Whovian!! I also adore well made crafty stuff.

Please, please, please do not send food!

The 10th doctor is my absolute favorite, although I do enjoy 9 and 11 very much, and 12 and Clara together are starting to grow on me as well.

Companions: I love love love River Song, especially Hello Sweetie and Spoilers things. I also love Rose and anything Bad Wolf! Other companions I also enjoy are Jack Harkness, Clara, Amy and Rory.

I'm really not super picky about anything Doctor Who and love surprises so I don't have very specific things that I want. Though I do love handcrafted and creative things, but I'm pretty chill with anything as long as it follows the swap rules.

Favorite Doctor: 10 (I genuinely like them all, but 10 is my doctor and has a special place in my heart)

Favorite companions: Captain Jack Harkness (and everything Torchwood), Rose, Rory, Donna, River, K-9, Mickey (I do like Martha, Clara, Amy, and Sarah Jane Smith as well)

Love: the TARDIS, Blink, Vincent's sunflowers, London in general

My #1 wish is for anything I can put in my Doctor Who-themed bathroom. Art for the walls (handmade art or printouts in cheap dollar store frames are fine). A modified/artistic clock with a DW theme (doesn't have to be a working clock) as I'm filling one wall of the bathroom with clocks. I already have an AMAZING handmade soap dish & a soap dispenser.

Apart from that, I never say no to anything soft and squishie. And I LOVE LOVE LOVE to find out what it is that YOU like most about a fandom. Your favorite fanfic recs, a journal of your favorite quotes or episodes, an ATC of your favorite doctor, companion, baddie, episode, etc. Share your passion for DW with me :-)

I already have a kickass journal of impossible things and Ten's sonic screwdriver. I have a wind-up TARDIS and Dalek. And I already have the 50th anniversary postal stamps from the UK and a travel mug of the Eighth doctor.

See previous swaps or message me if you need any other favorites of mine like episodes.

Just realised I forgot to add my list!!!

My favorite doctor... A tie between Matt smith and David tenant! Love them both equally.

And my favorite companions are... Amy pond... And... Rose Tyler!

I love the weeping angels! And also the empty child storyline not so enampired with the daleks and cyber men (but I'm not going to be terribly upset if I get something relating to them as I know they're a big part of the series). I love the little adipose creatures!

I love anything relating to gallifrey.

I would absolutely love a little fan fiction story if you like writing. I love reading too so... Bookmarks definitely not frowned on. I don't really like the old series either only the new ones
