I lover writing swaps but I do not wish to be given prompts about disasters, apocolypes and so on. I know it's all the fad, trend, rage -- We are not in such a time, the world has always been a mess but disaster is not going to strike. How about real people in real situations?

I must say, this is her swap, and her guidelines. Instead of criticizing her swap, why not set up your own, and then you can run it the way you want?

Yes, if you don't like my swap, simply don't join. The title obviously didn't interest you, so why open it to read what it was about? Remember the title was FICTION, not about real life. I am not aiming to satisfy everyone's writing interests.

Does the type of disaster matter?

agreeing with everyone above lol why bother to even say that you don't like it? just don't participate. the fact that she has created this as a fictional swap suggests she probably doesn't think we are on the verge of an EMP either, but it's fun to imagine how one might survive and live if some such thing did happen. lighten up!

WOW! June, guess they did not like your comment. Huh?

Minxy1964 09/10/2015 #

Well obviously folks didn't, as it's a bit pointless. If she doesn't like tge concept of the swap fair enough, but why leave the comment that she did, instead of just moving on?

How on earth can you know disaster isn't going to strike? Natural disasters happen all the time. Other things like terrorist attacks or pandemics might be less likely but are real concerns. Any of it could happen anytime. That's why I am doing some minor emergency preparedness. Nothing elaborate but we should all have a few things. There are many websites including ones local to each area to let you know what you should have. A minimum of food, water and medicine for a week and a first aid kit.

The disaster is your choice😀

Thanks @Brystrgrl I'll be joining up!

@TereDiane1954 I totally agree with you.

@Brystrgrl I've signed up and must admit that mine may be fictional inspired by true events. :-)

This is going to be extremely fun! I wrote mine today😉
