Christmas /Holiday Cards for Matilyn!

In this swap you will send a cheery Christmas and encouraging card to Matilyn! From parents: Matilyn "Mattie" Jean Lala is a 1-year-old little girl who was recently diagnosed with Hurler Syndrome - a rare genetic disorder in which the body lacks an enzyme needed to break down mucopolysaccharides (long chains of sugar). If not treat it can cause severe mental retardation , organ failure and death by the age of 10 if not sooner. A Cord Blood or bone marrow transplant is the only proven therapy that can stabilize neurocognitive development and improve survival with Hurler syndrome. Matilyn is now in Minnesota and will start her chemotherapy on July 27th and have her chord blood transplant Aug 4th. Matilyn will be staying in minnesota for 5 months undergoing treatment.
