JOURNAL PAGE - BLACK & WHITE TECHNIQUE

Technique obtained fro Art of Paper and Mixed Media magazine (Image is from a private swap I did)

This is for ONE (1) A4 page on firm card. I used 300gsm water colour paper.

Orientation - Portrait, leaving about 2 cms on the left hand side clear of image for binding. NB black paint can extend to the edge

Technique: print an image in black and white 'about' 1/4 size of your page ( on matte photo paper if you have it. I used smooth 190 gsm card )

Paint your page in black paint ( I used black gesso ) paint can extend to the edge or leave a border as I have

When the black is dry position and adhere your printed image to the black painted page

Extend and integrate your image into your page with WHITE paint, pen, crayons, pencil
