Something Old, Something New, Something Spooky

I have been playing with the idea for this swap and letting it percolate for a while and I think it is time to give it a go. This is for a handmade swap and in it you will make something with the following criteria

Your handmade item must have

Something old in it.- This is up to the creator as to what it is and how old. It could be an item that is found or bought from a vintage, antique store or thrift store or off of Ebay. As for how old it must be that is up to you as to what you qualify as old. It could be an old charm, photo or anything as long as it is not brand new from a new store. (maybe some old lace from a antique store or a skeleton key, some old charms from an antique store or some old photos that you find in a bin at the antique store)

Something New- This can be anything from a store that you by to use in your craft. an wood box from a store, a scrapbook item. The sky is the limit.

Something spooky - as long as your finished product has a spooky them go for it.

Something Blue - blue paint, blue beads, just as long as there is some blue in your finished item your good to go!

Your finished item should have a value if you were going to sell it of $20. This should be your best work and I will be giving everyone a nice long time from the time names are drawn til the send by date so you have plenty of time to do your best work. Please put some time and effort into your art. Also this is senders choice as to what they make so you can get a head start on it now if you want and start looking for things for your artwork. (although feel free to look at your partner when names are chosen to see their likes and dislikes)

Really the sky is the limit on what you create for your partner. Here are some ideas

a Halloween necklace, shadow box, stuffed toy (use old ribbon or charm for the collar on a blue plush bat), a Halloween ornament, altered doll, statue, or other mixed media artwork
