Description:

I've been having lots of fun lately using photographs for inchies -- turning my photos into little inch-square images. It's been fascinating to see what works and what doesn't.

I thought some of you might enjoy doing this too!

For this swap, make six inchies from photographs you have taken. The inchies should be whole pictures (cropping is okay but you still need to create a whole image).

An inchie is a 1 x 1 inch piece of artwork. As long as it’s an inch squared, you can use any media you like to make it, paper, fabric, wood, metal…the list goes on!

You can print your photo inchies out on photo paper if you want, but it's also fine to print them out on ordinary paper. I personally shrink and crop them using Publisher, then print them on white paper and back them with card, but feel free to use whatever technique works for you.

Sign each inchie on the back with at least your initials and the date.

Package your inchies so with care so that they travel safely. I usually put mine in a small envelope and include it inside a notecard. The swap is international.

The swap is open to newbies with a fully-filled out profile.

Experienced swappers must have a rating of 4.98 or above. I will check profiles before assigning partners and will drop anyone with recent or unexplained ones or threes or with late swaps on their dashboards.

PM me if you have any questions.

And have fun!

Just to make sure I understand as I'm new to photo inchies, these are 1" square photos printed on (or adhered to) substrate of trader's choice and the finished product of which is 1" square? Is that right?
