You know I love this theme...the ornaments I received last time were so incredible!

I am a HUGE fan of Frida Kahlo! Great idea for a swap, can\'t wait! :O)

I finished my Frida earrings last night. I had two ideas kicking around in my head and so, of course, had to go with one of them. I'm really pleased with them. I had already started collecting the findings for my other idea, however, so we'll just have to do another Frida Kahlo earring swap in the future. Any excuse for a Frida swap!! :O)

Let's see...maybe a Frida inspired 'my hands to yours swap'? The problem with swaps that are 'wide open' like that is that some people receive a 'garbage' item that someone has whipped up in two minutes (I've rec'd a couple of things that my 7 year old could have made and done a better job) and then some people recive beautiful hand quilted bags and jewelry. So in a swap like that it really isn't about assigning a dollar value or anything but more about sending a quality item. Maybe a Frida inspired altered journal, sewn item, charm bracelet (I like this one, love making jewelry), ornament (I think you've done that? I missed that one!), bookmark??

Much as I love this theme, I'm going to have to drop out of this one...we're moving to a new office buidling for my job, and I'm bogging down with getting things together for that...and signing on for more swaps than I can handle.

I'm sorry to miss it...but will watch for the next fun one. I'd love to do a charm bracelet...sometime, maybe a couple months from now.

I have not received any earrings so I will wait a few days before rating my partners--Crafty Chica's should have been here by now I would think, I guess mail is VERY slow, Cyn's are coming from overseas, I think, so those will take some time and MegMeghan just clicked 'sent' a day or two ago. Swap-bot should consider waiting 14 days instead of 7 for ratings. How is everyone else doing? I know vidriosa and jamesdean rec'd mine and the other pair was sent overseas so might not be there yet. I LOVE it when people let me know they've rec'd what I've sent! :O)

It seems from Meghan's email she did send the earrings?? I don't know why she'd close out her profile, though, unless something fishy was up. I guess we'll have to see if they show up. I really think Jamesdean is a special person to volunteer to be a swap angel. I've been in other swaps with her and she always volunteers to send to those who haven't rec'd something. That is awesome, Misty, you've fulfilled your obligations and rec'd your items but still offer to help others. You are definitely a super swapper!! :O)

I rec'd the COOLEST pair of Frida earrings from Cyn today!! They look like mirrors (hard to describe, I'll take a photo) and that's what I thought they were. I set them on the counter and, whoa, you could see Frida's face kind of floating behind the 'mirror'. How did you do that, Cyn?? I LOVE them!!! Thank you so much!! :O)
