Summer Solstice is coming next month, so I thought it would be fun to make something relating to South and Fire. In my own Tradition, the Wand is the Tool of Fire. So, we are going to make a wand for our partner. Find a stick that speaks to you and decorate it in a manner that you think your partner would like. This can be as simple or as creative as you would like. Please send on time, so hopefully your partner will get their new wand in time to consecrate it in the Sun on Solstice! There are several images on Google of wands, made from everything from stones to polymer clay. For this swap, however, you are to make the wand from wood. The type of wood is up to you. (If you know what kind of wood it is, please let your partner know. Different woods lend themselves to different uses).

I believe the Wand will pick it's owner, so you will receive the wand that is right for you, even if you don't think so at first. :-) The Goddess works in mysterious ways.

I cut my branch this weekend from the paulownia that grows next to my house. It has this one old branch that was just asking to be made into a wand. The wood is very pale and light weight so I think it will be wonderful.

You are supposed to rate all swaps that fit the requirements a 5. Swaps on swap-bot are not rated by "I liked it" or "I didn't like it" or even on how professional or not the job was a person did on the swap.

3 and 1 ratings are only to be used if a swap did not meet the requirements, was sent late or it was never received.

@Lanie My group and the members I have made officers are all well aware of the rating rules, and have all managed the rating system just fine with our swaps since the group's inception. If there is ever a rating issue, please privately message me.

I started on my wand! made from little leaf Linden/ Tillia cordata. I always like working with it as my name means between the linden trees. and I was happy to find Linden is a summer tree and blooms all summer~

I went to my mother's this week and remembered that the beach nearest her always has a fantastic array of driftwood, so I went and chose some for this project.
