Description:

Do you have a goal you're trying to obtain or a routine you're trying to establish, and a little bit of motivation and encouragement may go a long way? Then this . . . THIS is the swap for you!

You will be assigned 1 partner who, for a month, will be your accountability buddy. The first part of this swap is to establish with one another your goal, plan of action, and a brief explanation of why this is your goal. Ex: I want to accomplish_____. I will do so by _____. I want to accomplish this because _____. You should do this right away, the day partners are assigned - I suggest getting this drafted up and ready to be sent while waiting for assignments.

Secondly, you and your partner will exchange a message once daily, for 30 days, via any means you prefer: swap-bot, Facebook, email, etc. to check in and ask if you did your part for the day. Ex: "Did you write in your journal today?" "Did you make it to the gym?" "Did you start that paper?"

Finally, after 30 days of having your accountability buddy, you will have a week to send a small, profile based gift with a short letter/note outlining the result of the swap. Ex: I write in my journal daily now, I don't procrastinate any longer, etc. The gift can be purchased OR you can make something; it can be chosen just because it is something your partner likes OR something that reflects their accomplishment -feel free to put feelers out there during your month of exchanges!:)

This swap has a lot of components, and so, I've labeled it a Type 3 swap since a small package will be mailed in the end. Because there are so many components, a lot of work involved, and a gift involved, you must have a 5 to participate, and newbies will not be able to join this time. This is going to be a USA only swap this round. Everyone who signs up should have a well filled out profile displaying likes, dislikes, etc. I WILL be checking profiles for this swap. Please, please, PLEASE be sure you can commit to this swap before signing up as it would be very difficult to angel.

Based on feedback and demand, I may host this monthly or bi-monthly, and I may host it internationally - so feel free to send me a message to express interest in an international option. Also, please DO let me know mid-way through this swap or so how it's working for you just so I know whether or not I should host it again.

ANY questions, feel free to contact me.

Outline of events: You have until May 22nd to sign up. May 23rd - partners will be assigned, and you should send your first message outlining what you'd like to accomplish. June 22nd - Last electronic message swap June 29th -packages should be mailed no later than this date.

EXCELLENT question received today re: how the two different partners is going to work with this swap. My response is pasted below - hope this clarified things a bit.

"I would invest more time in your outgoing emails to the partner you're assigned to check in on (your 'sends to' partner), but certainly take the time to reply to your incoming email checking on you/your progress (your 'receives from' partner) - especially to confirm you took action toward your goal. I hope this makes sense :)"

Any additional questions, don't hesitate to contact me!
