I would definately agree that you can spend a smidge more then $10 if you'd like. About the handmade presents...I don't mind at all but I would be sure to check your partners profiles first! :)

I'm a January baby - and this year aside from any other little pressies I get, I get a great one automatically - my birthday is January 20th (Inaguration Day!).

I did this January Birthday swap last year but it was someone else who was hosting it and it was fun. We discovered that it was easier and fun for most of us to list gift ideas from amazon.com or on the Etsy site. We added our sites in our profile. Just an idea and mine is up. lol! Allergic to perfumes I only use and like essential oils such as Yo Lang Yo Lang, Creativity and Lavender. I'm open to trying new things. Happy holidays everyone!

the host has not been online since the 17th - this CAN still be a successful swap - but without a host, there will be no way of keeping track of all the participants and who they should be partnered with -

I have already tried to contact my own two partners in this swap - I am disabled and do not drive, so my neighbor took this swap to the PO a week ago - but is now stating that he does not remember if he mailed them or not! AARRGGHHH - - (and I became the host of this swap, that surely does NOT look so great!) -

I've NOT heard anything back from my partners (kiwi2140nz and auroragoryalice), so I'm quite worried, but am re-sending another birthday surprise right away!

These are both international, so I really DO apologize - - and if it turns out that you get both of them (if my neighbor actually DID get them sent!) - then please have an extra happy birthday!
