Description:

This swap was created by @Tcornell and I asked her permission to use it in our lovely group!! Thanks Tracy

For this swap, we will decorate 10 envelopes of any size (I suggest smaller for shipping purposes, but the size is up to the sender), and clearly label them "Open When_____" (Fill in the blank with one of the following emotions, 1 emotion/envelope):

Sad

Angry

Lonely

Scared

You Just Need a "Pick Me Up"

Curious/tempted

There's no other mail

Happy

Nervous

Stressed

Inside each envelope include the following: a flat token to prompt a smile upon opening & a little message (can be an encouraging sentence, quote or sentiment). Some ideas for the flat surprise include, but are not limited to: a comic strip, stickers, washi samples, an ATC, a drawing or doodle you've done, a handmade or profile based postcard, an uplifting magazine article, crossword/word search puzzle, poetry; anything flat and lightweight that you think your partner may enjoy. Please mix it up a bit and not put the same thing in every envelope. Use your imagination and have fun!

So, to recap: 10 decorated envelopes (labelled for when to open), each with an encouraging message & flat surprise. Bundle together in 1 mailer and send to your partner!

This should be able to ship in a 6 X 9 mailer if you use smaller envelopes and keep it flat. Sender has the ability to keep this lightweight depending on the enclosures- it doesn't have to be a high cost shipping swap.

Would it be acceptable if some of the envelopes were handmade using patterned paper instead of being plain with decorations? I love making envelopes!
