Description:

People aren’t hardwired to be grateful. And, like any skill worth having, gratitude requires practice. There are three stages: recognizing what we’re grateful for, acknowledging it, and appreciating it.

For this swap, I want you to write down {at least} one thing everyday for 12 days (1st September - 12th September) that has made you smile. What was your favourite moment of the day? What made you laugh? What are you grateful for today?

You can format this however you want too. In a card, illustrated, written etc. Make sure you include the swap name and your username somewhere. Feel free to write a little bit about yourself and jazz it up with some embellishments.

People who regularly practice gratitude by taking time to notice and reflect upon the things they're thankful for experience more positive emotions, feel more alive, sleep better, express more compassion and kindness, and even have stronger immune systems. And gratitude doesn't need to be reserved only for momentous occasions: Sure, you might express gratitude after receiving a promotion at work, but you can also be thankful for something as simple as a hot cup of tea.

I believe this is a wonderful swap. I find the more stressed out I am the harder it is to find things to smile about. this will help out tremendously!! Love love love it!

Thanks for the lovely comments @sugardragon @EmmaC3 and @pkpeace It's something I've been working on myself to write down at least one thing every day so thought I would turn it into a swap.
