Description:

This will be a 3 MONTH SERIES of Tim Holtz inspired C-H-R-I-S-T-M-A-S ATCs, using at least two (2) authentic Tim Holtz products for each ATC (paper, ephemera of all sorts, die cuts, stamps, etc.). You'll need to JOIN ALL THREE swaps to get your full set of ATCs to create a decorative banner, or to set them up on a mantel, or on a book shelf, etc. You could even punch holes in a top corner and create a mini-booklet of Christmas ATCs. [DO NOT add holes when making your partner's ATCs—leave that option to your partner!!!]

INSTRUCTIONS: For each swap you will make three (3) ATCs for your partner. Each one will have one of the letters that spell CHRISTMAS and something obviously on the ATC that begins with that letter. So for the ATC with the letter C on it you could add a candles, candy canes, cookies, cranberries, carols, cards, etc. Each ATC needs at least 2 (TWO) authentic Tim Holtz items. Any other vintage products and items can be included. Because many people are not glitter fans, including me, and because Tim rarely uses glitter, use gold or silver, tinsel red, tinsel green, heat embossing powders or his stars which can be colored with alcohol inks or left to sparkle as they are!

For October's swap you will make the C, H, R ATCs Remember that both the LETTER itself and the item beginning with that letter must be on the card. Keep the letter large enough to stand out but not to overshadow the C item you choose for that ATC.

November's swap will make I-S-T ATCS and December's swap will of course finish with M-A-S. We could go back and fill in sets you missed, but not in time for the holiday. So if you miss one set, perhaps someone would be interested in setting up a private swap with you.

These will be sender's choice ATCs, so you could begin making them now if you wish, but if you can take time to read your partner's profile, it's nice to make something in just the colors they love and what they love most about Tim's style: vintage only, vintage and grunge, or vintage and steampunk. However, if you stay with vintage Tim Holtz, you cannot go wrong. Also, we all know and use the most common holiday colors, but you could try something new like deep navy or burgundy with Kraft paper, burgundy and gold, gray (or silver) and blue with something heat embossed for shimmer and shine of Christmas lights. I've made Christmas cards in brown and green to work with a vintage image of kids and a sled (a good idea for one of the S ATCs!).

MOST IMPORTANTLY, have a good time making this series of swaps!

If you have questions, please send me a PM! Please know that we are closing on our new gorgeous retirement home on September 15 and moving on the 16th and 17th. Then I will be emptying boxes as fast as possible! I don't know how much of a gap we will have before our internet is up and running again after the 16th. When we moved from sold house to apt. it was only one day with no service. But if you send a PM, please be patient and I WILL get back to you!

I would really like to join this swap, but I have very few TH products and I don't really fall into the "traditional" Christmas styles..

I have a ton of true vintage papers, etc. I know that I can produce quality cards..

I just don't know.. : (
