Quotecard Postcard #18!

This should be a fun, low-pressure swap, so don't feel you have to do a lot of research unless you want to do that.I have a Notepad file in which I save quotations that I like, so I don't usually need to search for them for my Quotecards, but when I want quotes on a particular theme, I put:

[theme keywords] quote OR quotation

into a search engine. I get links to some general quotation sites but also ones which only have quotes on that theme, which often have many more than the general sites.

um... i'm new here... and was just wondering if i have to write the same quote on the 3 postcards or if i could write a different quote for each of the 3 postcards?

It's entirely your choice. Sometimes I use the same quote on all 3, and others I try to pick ones to suit each partner or the subject of each card. I try to keep the 'musts' to a minimum. :-)

Hi, just wondering MONTHLY means how many months?

This is the 18th month, and I intend to keep them going for a lot longer, but each month is independent. Joining this one only commits you to sending out the 3 postcards for this month. If you want to take part in future months, you join the swaps in those months. I'll be setting up the next one this weekend, probably,and that will stay open until December 15th.

Today is the last day to sign up for this swap, but I have now set up the next in the series, Quotecard Postcard #19!.

I am totally new, just joined today. I love this idea and signed up for this today, but don't know how I go about getting partners. Will they be assigned to me when day is done or do I have to elicit them myself somehow? Help.....Thanks!

You don't have to do anything more except fill out your profile before I assign partners. Some time tomorrow or Monday I will go through the list of people who have joined this swap to check for any problems, then click a button and swapbot will do the assigning for me. Once that happens, you will have a link in the yellow box at top right of this swap page which says "See the partners you send to", and that will give you their names and contact details.

Do we send 3 postcards in 1 month to each person or do we send one postcard/month for 3 months? I know I am making this more difficult than I need to, but I am a bit confused! Thanks :)

OK.. answered part of my question.. all postcards go out this month. NOW, do I send one postcard to each of my partners?

Yes, you send one postcard to each of your three partners, all before the send -by date, November 30th.

anyone have any reccommendations for making your own postcard??

I don't make my own postcards (except patchwork/quilted ones), so I'll leave it to people who do so to answer.

If anyone received a 1 from @mysticalunicorn919 you can delete it as she has been fully suspended.

Thanks, Lake! I have checked her partners' profiles and she had indeed left 1s. I've contacted them about deleting them. It's a shame anyone is so mean,

It's now over 2 weeks since the send-by date and all but 2 participants have clicked Sent. I have been in touch with the partners of those two swappers. If anyone else hasn't received theirs yet, please contact your partner first, but if you don't get a satisfactory response, please PM me.
