Description:
Take a small-ish cardboard box - soapbox, Rice-a-Roni box, tea bag box - flatten it and art it up all over the outside. Like sooo: You're going to want to add a little glue to the inside before you squash it fully, just so it stays flat. Art it up however you want, keep a little peek of the former box art showing, address that sucker and mail it.

This example doesn't appear to have flaps. Are the flaps supposed to be removed? Could I see more examples?

The box was completely flattened, including flaps. Like this:

You don't need to remove anything.
