Date items must be sent by:January 15, 2009
Number of swap partners:2
Description:

The dates above are tentative, if there is enough feedback asking me to move them back, I will do so!

I have set the sign up date a month away so that people will have lots of time to build up/fix ratings. And have given a month an a half to assemble your whimsy. I know the holidays can be a very busy time... :) The dates do overlap for my other woodland themed swap, that way you can gather everything up at the same time

For this swap you will make one woodland themed lucky parcel for two partners, that's a total of two parcels. The parcels should contain 5-6 items. The total cost should be anywhere from 15-25 dollars. I think it's easy to buy things that come in pairs/sets and break them up, so that partners are one, not overloaded with any one thing and two, you can save a bit of money. Also, handmade is encouraged (though not required) as long as the item you send is something "etsy quality". Please remember, this is a lucky parcel swap, and the packaging is half the fun of the parcel!!! You must, technically have decorative packaging to get a five.

Here are some of my ideas of woodland themed things:acorns, apples, badgers, bears, berries, brambles, branches, chipmunks, deer, elves, fallen logs, ferns & fiddleheads, fireflies, forest fairy tales, foxes, fungi, gnomes, hedgehogs, moss, moths, mushrooms, owls, rabbits, raccons, skunks, songbirds, sparrows, sprites, squirrels, stumps, toadstools, trees... feel free to post any you think of

Neat things to include may be: things made of wood, fauxbois things, brown things, red things, green things, buttons cards, charms, embellishments, ribbon, trim, chipboard pieces, stickers, atcs, small felties and stuffies, sets of papers, stamps & stamp pads, little figurines, packages of vintage images/collage images/ephemera, embroidery floss, FQs, letter sets (not just one please, min. 3 evies & 6 sheets of stationary), notebooks/ notepads, key chains & cell phone charms, pens & pencils, your art, etc.

To Participate You Must...

  • have a 4.9 rating or higher
  • have completed at least five 'package-type' swaps (no e-swaps or postcard swaps, etc.) This is a high stakes swap & I want everyone to be confidant that they will receive, the only way to prove you'll send is having a good track record. Check out this group to get some ratings. Also, I will swap privately with newbies, please PM me.
  • no no sends ever If you have been rated unfairly for something, please pm me

Please rate fairly. This swap is not profile based, it is theme based. For this reason it is important that you put together a varied and creative package. Please do not send parcels that are entirely kawaii, all sewing notions, or completely scrapbooking goodies. Make a package that anyone who loves woodland whimsy could enjoy. It is also important that you rate people on fufilling the swap requirements, not whether or not you like all the individual items. I think most people will beable to be creative and find a use for whatever you send.

I will angel, but I hope I won't have to!

Does decorative packaging mean the envelope or box you send in in decorated?

I actually recomend not decorating the box or envelope you send in as some users have reported packages beeing stolen when they look too nice. What I mean by decorative packaging is that items shouldn't just be thrown in a box or envelope. They should be put in a decorative bag, wrapped up or made fancy in some way before packaging them up to send. You can see some examples in the lucky parcel inspiration link above. :)

This is going to be fun, but if I get flaked on $15-25 swap I am seriously going to be hunting people down.

@JenDiggityDirt I will angel, and if by some horrible fluke someone gets flaked on by both partners (heavens forbid! knock on wood, etc.) I will find a second angel! then we can both hunt down the flakers together if you are still so inclined :)
