Itty Bitty Dotee Doll

This is going to be way cool! I'm excited.

Wanted to do this one, but forgot I would be now where near my sewing things to make her at the time of send. Lets do another maybe for Valentines day. I have one of these given as a gift to me and they are adorable.

Can the beginners get in this one or are we looking for perfection? I had a lot of fun making the beginner's one but I don't want anyone to be dissapointed if these are made by experts. Thanks. Lorraine

I was just looking at the one in the picture. Are these suppose to be knitted?

They don't have to be knitted... although they can be knitted if you want, I suppose. The one in the picture is made just like any other Dotee... fabric front, felt face, felt back. Yarn for hair.

How small can they be? I, too, love miniature things--I'd like to make one that a regular dotee could hold as a dotee dolly--maybe 1" long in the body, plus hanger and tail?

This is such a great idea! There's another tiny dotee swap Dotee in a Box --it doesn't end until the 31st, so I can make two tiny dotees at once, one for each! They're so easy, I may make more! Sounds like fun to me!

Wouldn't it be fun to make these tiny little ones into a string of garland or maybe like the chain of paper dolls it could a chain of dotee dolls! Just an idea.

I'm new to these, but I find them very fun! I haven't swapped any yet, but I'm singed up for some after the new year. I can't wait to a miniature version! Thank you for this great swap!

And, if needed, I would not mind angeling, if it is needed. I love working on new dotees and making them just for my partner/s. I put a lot of forethought into them to refelct my partners likes and style but keeping them in the perimeters of the swap.

Aw, thank you! :o) I've been so inspired that I'm making a regular size one and and itty bitty "baby" that matches as a set for gifts. I'm making a few different sets for Christmas for my aunts and I'm going to make a set for my mom for her birthday (in July-I have some time to make hers). My husband has ever really enjoyed the ones I've received and watching me make them. He has taken up stained glass making (just started and pricing started kits now) so now we both get to craft together. He's also looking into woodworking-- 3-D animal puzzles (his favorite is a ram), 3-D wall hangings and display pieces and he's been doing woodburning for a while. I'll have to get him some new fancy tools, but I think they will have to wait until the bonus come in January. His crafts are a bit expensive, but he enjoys and it and I love the time we spend together collaborating and discussing projects getting opinions. We spend a lot of time with each other already as it is with no children, but this is a different.
