Description:

As promised, here is another washi card swap. :)

If you love to make cards and you enjoy washi tape, come on out and having fun combining the two. If you've never made cards with washi tape before, these are the swaps to join to try one.

The card icon is one I made recently after being inspired by Michelle Woerner (https://www.pinterest.com/pin/535154368200317791/). Perhaps you'll try one of these. :)

This swap will be as simple (or complex) as you want it to be. I recommend everyone going online and running a search on Google, Pinterest, etc. for "washi cards, DIY washi cards, making washi tape cards," etc. There is literally TONS of washi card inspiration out there and you might "get lost" for awhile. LOL.

This section has been edited. After you find a design you like, create a card, and then either write a note to your partner directly on the inside of the card or include one on a separate piece of paper that you put inside the card. (This is in case your partner wants to use your card for someone else).

This time we will include 4 washi tape samples for our partner to play with (about 18 inches each). Please decorate the front of your mailing envelope with washi. :)

I'll be hosting lots of these easy washi card swaps throughout the year.

Hi Beth! I made a card similar to the one you posted in the picture above The ends of each banner are lifting off of the card stock. I was wondering if this has ever happened to you with washi tape and if so do you use a little glue to make them stay down?

Unfortunately, it's happening because the tape quality isn't as good. Not all washi is created equal now that China has come into the washi market (Originally, washi came from Japan.) The only other remedy besides gluing the ends would be to experiment with using different brands of tape.

I see well thanks for answering my question Beth. Funny though when the tape is cut straight it doesn't seem to happen. I used a bit of glue and it is sticking fine now.

I would prefer a note separate from my card. Thank you ahead of time. This gives me the option to use your card to send along to someone else.
