Description:

This is the 2nd swap for Dark Moons. It is for April 15-16-17 and honors The Morrigan. Please send this swap in time for your partner to use on these days.

Most times, I feel pretty positive in my magick. Some days I am totally opposite & wish to have a Spirit or bad-ass Goddess at my side. I decided to create a few swaps for those challenging times in our lives & invite those of you who need or want to engage in some stronger work to join the swap. The timing for each swap will be during the Dark Moon Phases.

Historically speaking, the Dark Moon refers to the 3 nights when the Moon exhibits zero illumination, while the New Moon is in the middle of those 3 nights. Look at witchcraft from a historical and/or modern Pagan approach. Dark & light with any sort of implied connotation of good & evil is simply ignorant. The Dark Moon is just one of 8 points within the Lunar cycle & there is nothing intrinsically good or bad about it. Dark Moon magick is very inward focused and can take you deep into the Spirit World.

It really takes courage to work with these Goddesses & the Dark Moon. It gives us a chance to look at the challenges in our lives and do something about them.

The Morrigan is set for the Dark Moon on April 15, 16, 17. The Morrigan (also known as the Morrigu) was the shape-shifting Celtic Goddess of War, Fate & Death. She also presided over rivers, lakes & fresh water, in addition to being the patroness of revenge, night, magic, prophecy, priestesses & witches. The Morrígan is often described as a trio of individuals, all sisters, called 'the three Morrígna'. She is believed to be a manifestation representing the goddess's role as Guardian. She shape-shifts into either a Wolf, Black Horse, carrion Crow or Raven.

A Dark Moon ritual with The Morrigan can change you when you seek Her wisdom as a War Goddess, a Guardian, a Death Goddess. The Morrigan asks us what in our life is worth fighting for. She lets us know She is beside us when we face our fears. The Morrigan is not afraid of change & does whatever is necessary to make it happen. The battle to control, change & master the self is as much a part of Her magick as is the battle to change outer conditions in the world. She encourages us to take action in our lives, to become stronger, to create change, to release what no longer benefits us, to fight for what we believe in & stand up for ourselves; to point out the truth, to change our fate or accept it, and to use our own power.

Send a package that includes at least 3 things your partner can use on her altar for a Dark Moon ritual honoring the Morrigan. Suggestions include:

Any form of your art that honors some aspect of Her

Written musings, poetry, prose

A fallen feather from either a Crow or Raven

Tarot card, often used to aspect Her energy like the Tower or the Queen of Swords (this can be an actual Tarot card or one you make or copy from online)

Stones: Obsidian, Rubies, jet, Amethyst, Garnet, Bloodstone, Clear Quartz

Herbs & plants: Blackthorn, Belladonna, Juniper berries, Nightshade, Dragon’s blood, Mugwort, Yew

An affirmation printed on card stock (5x7) for Sacred Journal or BOS. Also consider making a page that supports change in the world...something you are intertested

Doll, can be any form She takes or aspects

ATC or larger painting, drawing

Adult coloring pages (find at least 3)

Ritual cloth

Sigil, Ritual plan, OR spell, OR chant, OR song. Again, putting one of these on a 5x7 card stock that can be glued into a BOS is a great way to share what you found or created

Sender's Choice swap....you know what you like sending and always check your partner's profile for likes and dislikes. For those of you open to receive, consider that the Divine Morrigan knows what you need for your greater good. If you get three items, rate it a 5 if it comes on time. If it is late or missing items, rate it a 3. If someone flakes, let me know because we are a zero tolerance group and that person will be removed.

Include a note with swap information (swap name, your ID, and a short message about what you sent and why). PM me with questions or concerns. PLEASE PUT TOGETHER A PACKAGE THAT HAS SPIRITUAL VALUE. Send things you would be thrilled to receive.

PLEASE, PLEASE send on time so your partner can use what is in the package for her Dark Moon ritual. Rate when you receive. PM me with questions or concerns.
