Description:

The patriotic holidays in the USA (Memorial Day and July 4th) are fast approaching, so let's exchange recipes for the occasion!

You will have 2 partners, to whom you will send one tried-and-true recipe for a dish that is red, white, and blue. "Tried-and-true" means that you have prepared the recipe at least once and that it worked. It can be any kind of dish: main, side, dessert, appetizer, snack, soup, etc. It does not necessarily have to be something that is always red, white, and blue, but it must be something that can successfully be made in those colors. (By that I mean, for example, that iced cupcakes could be frosted in different colors according to the occasion, or a salad could include differently-colored elements according to the exact ingredients used; your recipe/instructions for this swap should reflect our flag colors.)

Send your recipe by snail mail in whatever format you prefer (sender's choice)—on a recipe card, a computer print-out, handwritten on notebook paper, photocopied from a book or magazine, etc. Make sure that it is legible and that instructions are complete. Include the source (author) if you know it. Please make sure your swap name is on the recipe itself, in case the person who receives it has questions or comments about it in the weeks or months ahead.

If you send more than one recipe (which is optional, if you have more to share), they do not all have to be tried-and-true, but please do make clear which recipe(s) is/are the tried-and-true one.

What if you don't don't have a red, white, and blue recipe? Well, there is still time; search for one, make it, and voilá! Provided the recipe works, you suddenly have something to send for this swap.

You need an average rating of 4.9 to join, and you should have at least 10 type-2 swaps under your belt. No recent 1s or 3s. If your rating history or swap volume is slightly lower than that, p.m. me and we can talk. I reserve the right to ban anyone for any reason.
