Description:

What is the bird you saw most frequently in your childhood?

Such that you didn't notice it particularly, but if it was GONE,

something would be missing! & now when you see it, you associate it with your childhood days!

Create mail art inspired by that bird.

All art techniques, all media, all art forms are welcome. If you are making an ATC, please make it 2.5"X3.5". If you are making a postcard, please make it 4"X6" on larger. Naked postcards will do, so will decorated envelopes, BUT, if the decorated envelope is your art, then there has to be a letter inside, not just a 2-line note. If it is a zine, please send the original.

If a postcard, it is sender's choice to send naked or in an envelope.

Please employ your best art.

Please include a note. Reminisce the nostalgia. Or, just a greeting! Please clearly mention

Swap name,

group name,

your name, your swap-bot Id,

AND the art form that you have made (ATC, art journal page, PC, Zine...)

Title to your artwork, & signing it is cool, but not mandatory. It's also nice to address your partner by name.

This swap is of wide scope and interpretive. Please rate keeping in mind that, to your partner, art might mean something very different!

I will angel if required.

International craft swap. 1 partner. Mail art themed : the bird which makes you nostalgic, take appropriate protection, send with adequate postage.

On a related note, wild turkeys and sand hill cranes were nearly absent in Wisconsin when I was young. Conservation and reintroduction efforts have brought them back and now when I see them (which I actually see them a lot) I think about how I never saw them as a kid but get to enjoy them now. The turkeys are especially awesome - brave, visiting cities, puffing up their feathers in fields and stuff. Cool swap!

^^ Wow! Reintroduced species! ❤❤❤ Please feel free to be inspired by your joy seeing the reintroduced birds rather than nostalgia for this swap! ❤
