6 steps to a Fabulous Artist Trading Card (ATC)

Hi all,

Lets make some Artist Trading Cards to swap with one another.

I love ATCs because they are small and relatively quick to make once you have all your supplies together.

I also love really detailed ATCs which show off a technique as well as a variety of fibres and textures, so I hope we get a good participation rate for this one.

I also love swaps that have prompts in them so I hope you enjoy the following prompts I have come up with.

1- Create a Background

** Inking / Stamping / Embossing / Resisting / Stencilling

2- Apply Texture

** Doily / Tulle / Vellum / Muslin/ Book page / Crepe Paper / Heshian / Texture Paste

3- Focal Image

** Die-cut / Stamped Image / Metal Charm

4- Supporting / secondary die-cut to bulk up the story / emotion evoked by the focal image

** A butterfly / a heart - anything secondary to your focal image theme

5- Add fibre

**Ribbon / Thread / Cord / String / Lace / Gold gilding

6- Sentiment

** To complete the piece and tell the story

I will leave it at 1 swap partner for now but if everyone likes this swap idea and feels like they are able to create more than one ATC at a time, then perhaps I will continue this series monthly and put a theme to them. For now, theme is senders choice.
