Number of people in swap:56
Location:Regional - USA
Type:Type 2: Flat mail
Rating requirement:4.95
Last day to signup/drop:August 11, 2018
Date items must be sent by:August 25, 2018
Number of swap partners:20
Description:

You will have 20 partners for this swap. For each partner, prepare an envelope stuffed with goodies. Although there is no required envelope size, you are only required to send using one stamp (nothing huge). It is your choice on what to send and how much to send. Just make sure it is worth your partner's swap.

Idea's on what to send:

-bookmarks -stationary -postcards -random craft supplies -fabric -ribbons -washi tape samples -new or used stamps -stickers -note cards -scrap-booking items -profile based items

You can send anything you want; the sky is the limit. However, please make sure anything you send is in good condition. Also, make sure you have enough items to send several things to 20 people. Include your swap profile name and the name of the swap.

Do not sign up if you don't intend to participate. 20 negative ratings will kill your overall rating. I will angel swaps not received if you have contacted your partner and they do not respond. Just let me know.

Time to fill our mailboxes!

PS. Check your postage! A lot of people have gotten their envelopes returned or delivered needing more postage. Be mindful of how much you need to put on. You don't want your partner having to pay extra postage.

If you are sending to me, please make sure that my address says Little Falls and not Forest Lake, as I will be in Little Falls by the 20th of August or so.

jenmcjen 07/16/2018 #

Though I will be forwarding, so if you accidentally send to Forest Lake, I'll get it, just a bit late.

ladyaduial 07/17/2018 #

@jenmcjen update your address in SwapBot before this swap begins. That is the address everyone will receive.

jenmcjen 07/17/2018 #

Thanks. Will do.

Rosekoala02 07/20/2018 #

I want to make sure how much item that i send to? Thanks

ladyaduial 07/22/2018 #

@Rosekoala02 You don't have to spend more than one stamp. I would say people send stuffed envelopes with anywhere from maybe 5-15 things in it. If you are worried, send more than less. You can also wait and see what the first couple of envelopes that you receive look like.

Whoa! Five hours ago, I sat down with 20 envelopes that I had stuffed, stamped, return-address-labeled, and blank-address-labeled weeks ago, to just write a quick note to everyone and pop in the mail. I felt guilty cuz each person was not necessarily getting a profile-specific thing, because how could I possibly do that for 20 people?

Well, for 3 people, your profiles mentioned something that I just happened to have around, so I did pop those in.

But for all 20, you did all get profile-specific letters. I mean, though not HUGELY long, I basically read your profiles and had a conversation with you while doing so. Each note is unique and reflects the thoughts I had while reading your profile. Mathematically, I took 15 minutes on each one, so I hope that you all like them!

This was wonderful. I'm going to join the next stuff one now. I can't afford to do int'l sadly. But next round, I might. I feel like I made 20 friends today!

@jenmcjen You don't have to send profile specific things. You can send anything you want.

I have a lot of these swaps set up throughout the rest of the year you can join! Love doing them.

At JenMcJen, though you don't have to send profile specific, as someone who has done this swap many times it is nice, very nice, to see that someone took the time to at least skim my profile and send things I might like/use. I actually delay sending this swap (within the time line) to resend the stuff I receive that I won't use, like scrap papers, and random single playing cards. I don't down rate anyone for that but I try to send it on to someone who would use it.

I think for the next one, I will strike a balance. I will pack everything up beforehand, using things people in general would like, and then on the day it comes out, read each profile and find two specific things, and also remove anything that the profile indicates they might not like, and replace it with something they will, or at least something neutral. It's a fun thing to do, sending out tons of stuff, though my really favorite part was each little note - interacting with each person, even though it was a one-way kind of thing. I have gotten the 2-way in most of my ratings posts, where people have answered the question I asked, or commented on what I wrote. I keep copies of everything I send, so I know for sure what they are reacting to. It's just fun! I love sending out 20 things in a day! Appreciate the comments and stuff. Also, next time, I'll have a scale, so I will send .9999 ounce envelopes for sure!

It took me longer than 15 min to read the profile and then construct an envie for each person, but I did. I’m tired🙂

Mailed out Friday - forgot to update - sorry!

washingtonmaverick 08/26/2018 #

Mine went in the mail on 8/25/2018 on the way out of town. My swap-bot does not load unless on Wi-Fi. This is my 1st time back to Wi-Fi.
