Description:

I love mixing up my ephemera stash from time to time. It always helps get the creative juices stirring. For this swap you will decorate an envelope and put 1-2 oz of ephemera in it for your partner.

Ephemera is written and printed matter not intended to be kept. Examples include: tickets, bus passes, used postage stamps, business cards, postcards, letters, brochures, flyers, labels, packaging, catalogues, greeting cards, menus, posters, photographs, stock certificates, pages from books etc. In short, it is things meant to be thrown away.

  • The envelope can be any mailable size as long as it is large enough to include about 1-2 ounces of ephemera and is decorated.
  • Do not send stained or ripped pieces.
  • Be sure to include your user name and swap name.
  • Remember to use proper postage.
  • Please rate your partner.

Have fun!

I hear Canada mail system is on strike.

Hopefully anyone in Canada will not sign-up if that’s true.

It's a rotating mail strike. Their mail system still runs, just on certain days in certain areas. So, the mail may be a few days to a week behind schedule. Keep this in mind when rating partners for any swaps, please.

Dropping - Don’t want a Canadian partner until the strike is over.

Rotating strike has not affected most of my packages. Of the 30ish plus swaps I've sent since the rotating strike started, 2 swappers emailed me wondering if I sent my swap, but both received thier packages within 2 days of the message.

Rotating strike means different cities post offices will go on a 24 hour strike, so if a package happens to be there, it will only be held up for 24 hours. Granted, it is a different city every day so that could cause another delay, but I have not noticed a change in my deliveries here in Victoria where the strikes been on twice.

Thanks for including me in the swap and I am sorry a swapper decided to leave because I was in it. I don't think there will be an issue with my package, especially if I send it right away.
