I love this! And need it. My TBR stack is way too big! lol I'm committing to the swap now, but will need to post the actual book later when I look through my bookshelves.

Karen07 12/16/2018 #

Huge TBR in this house. I'll commit to "The Hobbit".

PrettyAlice 12/16/2018 #

Krampus: The Yule Lord by Brom is perfect for this time of year.

jenmcjen 12/17/2018 #

For about 15 years, I’ve wanted to read Underworld by Don DeLillo. So this is my chance to finally do it!

AZmom875 12/17/2018 #

I am going to commit to reading a honker of a book, which is why I have put it off.

A Discovery of Witches (All Souls, Bk 1) Author: Deborah Harkness

I heard this is a super book, and there is more in the series.

I AM COMMITTED NOW!!!

Artistic 12/19/2018 #

"The Watchers" by Jon Steele. This was recommended by a bookseller at the awesome Murder By the Book bookshop in Houston.

Traceyk 12/20/2018 #

I am going to listen to Sea of Memories by Fiona Valpy. It has good reviews, but I've had it in the listening queue for ages. I need to use this swap to actually listen to it.

Aladyjackson 12/20/2018 #

My book is called “A Dangerous Love” by Beatrice Small. I am a huge romance novel reader and I haven’t read one in ages. I have attempted to read this book several times but I rarely get past the first few pages before something comes up and I put it down only to never pick it up again lol but I am committed to reading it now! You guys all have some very interesting titles posted, I am going to definitely write a few of them down and see what they are about! @TraceyK -what program do you use for audiobooks? I used to have audible but it got too pricey for me. I enjoy audiobooks very much though and would love to try them again.

AZmom875 12/20/2018 #

I borrow audios from my public library, when I can. Right now I am listening to Laura Lippman's book Baltimore Blues book 1 in the Tess Monaghan series and I am loving it. Only 3 cds to go, and I picked up book 2 Charm City to listen to next.

jenmcjen 12/22/2018 #

@AZmom875 you will love your chosen book! By which I mean I love that book, and whole trilogy! Enjoy!

Jafferty 12/22/2018 #

My book is "The Great Gatsby" by F. Scott Fitzgerald.

AZmom875 12/22/2018 #

@Jenmcjen I am glad to hear that. It is a big book. I am going to post the FEB swap soon. I hope you all have fun reading a book you have wanted to. @jenmcjen I have not heard of your chosen book.

I am committing to read "Plain and Simple: A Journey to the Amish" by Sue Bender. I selected this book because I have owned it for a couple years now and have not read it. I feel like now is a good time to read it because, like the author, I am fascinated by the Amish, and I feel now would be a good time to rework my "crazy quilt" life just as she did.

Traceyk 12/23/2018 #

@Aladyjackson - I use the audible app on my phone. I have kindle unlimited on Amazon and there are a lot of audiobooks included for about $10 a month.

flmom 12/24/2018 #

I'm changing my book. The Screwtape Letters has been on my TBR list for far too long. I have started it but never finished it, so am going to challenge myself to read it to its entirety this year.

ccmmsu 12/25/2018 #

I am committing to Lady Midnight by Cassandra Clare.

@Aladyjackson -- I listen to audio books through my public library, too. They have three different programs you can subscribe to (for free!), and I listen to 8-10 books a month using them (Hoopla, Libby/Overdrive, and RBdigital). RBdigital seems to mostly be romances and mysteries. :)

Aladyjackson 12/26/2018 #

Thank you so much for that info guys!! I can’t wait to search for those apps @ccmmsu !! ❤️❤️🥰

jenmcjen 01/ 7/2019 #

@AZmom875 my book is a literary classic and won book awards and is considered the “great American novel” and things have not changed since the other times I’ve tried to read it. I don’t like it. But I have read more about the book now, and know not to expect things like an actual plot, so that kind of helps me read it with a better more understanding mindset. Your book is way more fun and I hope you love it!!!

AZmom875 01/20/2019 #

Well, It is time to start reading my book or be late... It is a big book.

AZmom875 01/20/2019 #
