Requirements
For 1 partner, you're going to put together a package specifically for them completely based on their likes! Minimum spend amount $10. (Look for other swaps with varying amounts). Please limit the amount of "happy junk" that you might send in normal happy mail swaps! (limit, but not really limit... read on! :). If you send scraps of paper, because you've got a partner that loves the postal theme, that's okay! If you sent pieces of music paper because they love vintage things, that's okay! But it will count as "extras" rather than your actual swap package. If you send a paper pad? This is considered an item! A vintage music book? That's a full item! However, if you send an amount that could equal the original, such as mixing different themes of stickers together to equal an item, that's okay too! Sometimes it takes 12 items to amount to $10, and sometimes it's an awesome adult coloring book and a pack of cool pens! You'll have 2 months for this, so please don't rush looking for items for your partner, HAVE FUN WITH IT!!
SHIPPING
BEFORE JOINING, please also be aware that you may end up spending more than $3 on shipping! Priority mail in a small box might be cheaper for sending heavy items instead of a weighed package bubble mailer. Priority mail can be $7+ depending on the box size, but normally cheaper than if they are just weighed in a regular package (if it's heavy). If it's light, then by all means, send in a regular package! Feel free to ask questions about shipping! Tracking is required but comes automatic with most mail larger than 6x9. If it all happens to fit in a 6x9, please add tracking to your postage and send the info to myself and/or your swap partner.
Qualifying
Rating of "4.9," but I'll be going through each profile to look at profile info, comments from swaps, etc on an individual basis. The high rating required will not be automatic, but I will look for signs that you're a reliable swapper. If you have a "low-ish" rating with 1's and 3's, where your partner was an obvious douche..... YES unfortunately, that happens here and it's evident when we see each other's comments, please direct me to look at your comments for those! I do not need a perfect 5 on your swaps for this. If you have 300 swaps and two 1's for being late. I don't care, you have 298 happy people and that's what matters. If someone claims you flaked and you have 500 completed happy swaps, I'm not going to gear toward that 1 negative rating. We are all human and luckily as humans, we can decipher what was meant well and what was intentionally malicious in these comments/swaps. No unexplained 1's and 3's please. If you've had lateness issues in the past, please let me know- believe me I have been there unfortunately. On the ratings, make sure the info is in your profile or send me a message! It never made sense to me to ban people with 200 swaps and only "one" 1 or 3. All previous swaps must be rated within a 5 count. Meaning you cannot have 10 swaps completed and only 5 ratings completed. If you have 345 swaps completed and 342 are rated, that still counts! But if you only 335 are rated, meaning there are 10 left to be rated, please try to finagle your partners to add in those ratings for you for the joining deadline :).
Blank Profiles/New Folks
- Look for my swaps that allow those with minimal to no swaps completed! We were all new at some point and I'm happy to angel for those who flake or disappear out of nowhere :(
- For many hosts, they like to see 4-5 different sections filled out in your profile :)
